Pam Matthews, RN, MBA, FHIMSS, CPHIMS, has over 25 years of experience with healthcare information and exchange, strategic planning, IT operations and clinical informatics. Under Collie Group Consulting, Ms. Matthews is currently serving in the role of Executive Operating Officer at Georgia Health Information Network. Other work under Collie Group Consulting, LLC includes interim Executive Director for Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative, organizational and information technology strategic planning engagements and various educational services. Ms. Matthews worked over eight years at HIMSS where she launched and directed the Society’s initiatives with health information exchange, supported HIMSS Analytics and convened communities at the state and regional levels. She has served on several boards and advisory councils as well as participated on federal grants. Ms. Matthews was a CIO for a nationwide healthcare provider, worked in a large academic center healthcare system, and in healthcare consulting.
Ms. Matthews is a Registered Nurse with a bachelor’s in industrial engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration. She is a HIMSS Fellow and served as Vice Chair on the HIMSS Board of Directors, Chair of the HIMSS Foundation Board and a member of the HIMSS Professional Certification Board. She currently is a member of the ehealth Exchange Board of Directors and services as Vice Chair of the Board. Ms. Matthews has served as adjunct professor for graduate level health informatics and a frequent speaker on topics that include strategic planning, information technology, health information exchange, and clinical informatics among other healthcare topics.
